Atlas and city break
Day 1: Arrive in Marrakech- transfer to the hotel near the medina. A possibility to go out and see the famous Jamna el Fnaa Square in the evening. Snake charmers orange juice sellers, food stalls and story tellers all inhabit the square, and provide entertainment for the whole evening.
Day
2: A morning with the Marrakech town guide to get an overview of the city and the souks. Stretching over the medieval part of Marrakech, the souks are winding streets of stalls and little businesses. Interspersed are palaces , madrassa (Koranic schools), and many cafes and restaurants. After lunch , perhaps in one of the restaurants overlooking the square, its possible to explore the various parts of the medina at your own speed.
Day 3: Depart in the morning across the plain of haouz and into the High Atlas.Passing over the passes and down to the famous kasbah of Ait ben haddou. Night in an auberge near the kasbah.
Day 4: Heading north over the passes and into the heart of the mountains to see the palace of the Glaoui at Telouet. This palace, made out of mud brick,yet still has the ornate marble and cedar decoration that graced the whole palace nearly 70 years ago. After lunch its possible to go for a walk or take mint tea in a berber house. Returning to Marrakech in the evening
Day 5: Transfer to the airport
Sahara and cities holiday (recommended October to May)
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech airport where you will be met by the guide and transferred to your hotel or Riad. The accommodation will be near the city centre so you will be able to go out after the tour briefing and explore the vibrant Jamna el Fnaa square in the evening with the snake charmers, story tellers , food stalls and souks all in full swing.
Day 2: Time to spend a few hours with the town guide who will be able to point out the highlights of the Medina (old city centre). The palaces, museums , main souks and old mellah (Jewish quartier) can be included in the tour. In the afternoon maybe a visit to the peaceful Jardins de Majorelle to wind down .
Day 3:
An early start when the transportation and your mountain guide arrives at the Hotel to take you towards the desert. From the flat plain of Haouz, the route climbs southwards and ever up to the passes of the High Atlas mountains. Along twisty roads with marvellous views and over the high point before descending to the rocky red foothills near Ouarzazate. Its possible to visit the World heritage site of Ait ben haddou just North of Ouarzazate. Carrying on along the valley of the Roses, a night in the Gorge du Todra
Day 4; Onwards towards the Saghro mountains and the first signs of the Sahara. Along the route there are Khettara , the ancient wells dug by the nomads to find water, now dry. Eventually we reach Merzouga at the foot of the great sand dune Erg Chebbi. Afternoon and evening in the desert. Night in a Berber camp in the dunes
Day 5- A long but very scenic drive today, heading north from the desert and up into the High Atlas past the Gorge du Ziz. Past Midelt, the route crosses a grassy plain (in winter) where Nomads of the tribe Ait Atta Tafoukht can be seen pitching their tents and finding grazing for their camels and goats. The road carries on over the next set of mountains – the Middle Atlas and another facet of morocco is seen, the Cedar forests. Ancient forests that cloak the hills and are inhabited by monkeys, wild boar and deer. Finally we descend into Ifrane (a swiss style town and ski resort) and carry onto Fes.
Day 6- A chance to see Fes with a town guide for the complicated medieval medina in the morning and free time in the afternoon.
Day 7- Today we leave Fes to see the ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis, past the fields of lentils and chickpeas, into the hills around this well preserved city where its possible to explore the mosaics and forum. Leaving Volubilis we set off via Meknes and Rabat to Casablanca.
Day 8 - free morning in Casablanca, perhaps visit the Medina, then in the afternoon visit the Hassan II Mosque. Afterwards, return to Marrakech across the plains and overnight in the red city.
Day 9 – tour ends.
Luxury Camping and Camel Trek
Day 1 : Arrive in Marrakech, transfer to the hotel. A chance to see Marrakech at night.
Day 2 : Transfer to Tafna, via Chichaoua and Ounara.(3 to 4 hrs drive) past the Argan orchards, where you may see goats eating the argan nuts up in the trees. Arriving near the Cape Tafelny where we meet up with the camel team . Short trek to the camp on the beach. The luxury camp has twin bedrooms with beds, a big “Caidal” eating tent, with tables and chairs, and carpets everywhere. (1 hr Trek)
Day 3 : Passing near Cape Tafelny via the plateau (the cape has rocky cliffs, so we ascend to the plateau above the sea) and then dropping down to the beach of Sidi Hamad Saeih, camp (4-5 hrs trek)
Day 4 : Following the coast, either along the beach or across the plain above (depending on wind conditions ) . The camels can be ridden if the way seems tough going. Night in Camp (3-4 hrs trek)

Day 5 : The transportation arrives, and we trek towards the road to take the route to Essaouira. Arriving in the town in the afternoon and a chance to explore the souks, harbour and beach
Day 6 : day free in Essaouira,
Day 7: Transfer to Marrakech via the Argan orchards and pass Chichoua towards the plains of marrakech (3 hrs drive), Afternoon free in Marrakech. Night in Marrakech.
Day 8 : Transfer to Airport
Mountains and Beaches
Day 1:

Day 3: The transportation leaves early today as we head off into the High Atlas along the route for Fes. After a bit we turn off south and arrive at the glorious waterfall of the cascades D ‘ Ouzoud for lunch. After a little rest here, its time to hit the twisty mountain road past Azilal and reach the heart of the High Atlas – the valley of Ait Bougamez. Night in a Kasbah
Day 4; Today yo
u can take a mule ride to the Dinosaur tracks at the head of the valley, the route winding through the fields of grain and the apple and almond orchards. After a picnic in the hills, return to the Kasbah via different route, stopping for a cup of tea in a berber house.
Day 5- For those feeling energetic, a walk up to the pass of Tizi ait Imi is well rewarded with views of Jbel Mgoun and the southern peaks of the High Atlas, otherwise its possible to take a walk around the village, maybe see the feltmakers and carpet makers at work and have a picnic at the side of a stream watching the farmers in the fields. In the afternoon take a walk upto the World heritage site of Sidi Moussa (ancient granary and fortification).
Day 6- Descending from the mountains today, we take the route past the lake of Bin Ouidane , where many richer Moroccans go for water sports, and then descend a sheer road down to the Orange farms of Beni mellal. Taking the road back to Marrakech, and night in Marrakech
Day 7- This morning the tran
sportation will go to Essaouira on the coast, only about 2.5 hrs away from Marrakech, Essaouira is completely different. It is a quiet seaside town with a long beach, an interesting little medina with souks and a grand harbour and fortifications. A great place to relax either on the beach or in a cafe on the square, or just watching the fishing boats coming in and out of the harbour. Night in a hotel in Essaouira.
Day 8- Day in Essaouira. After the town has been explored, you could maybe take a camel ride along the beach, or even try a bit of wind surfing.
Day 9- After a morning in Essaouira, the transport leaves for Marrakech. On the way back its possible to stop at an Argan oil co-operative to see how the argan nuts from all the forests around Essaouira are converted into oils and soaps. Night in Marrakech
Day 10- Depart from Marrakech
Trekking Mount Toubkal
Day 1: Arrive in Marrakesh Airport- Night in hotel
Day 2: Depart early in the morning to Asni by minibus along the road to Imlil. We meet up with our team of muleteers in Imlil (1750m altitude). We then trek over the Col de Tamatart (2227m), continuing on a dirt track. After the climb up Assaro, we camp at 2300m . 4.30 hours of trek.
Day 3: Dep
arting early in the morning we have a long climb to Tizi n'lkemt (3550m), passing shepherds with their flocks of sheep and goats. We have lunch at 2450m and after, we continue to our camp at the foot of Tizi t'Ourai (2900m). 6.30 hours of trek
Day 4: A very pretty and longish descent today, down to the berber villages with their traditional architecture. We pass the Lac d'Infni, a cold, green lake for a cool down. Our camp is at the side of the lake at 2263m. 6 hours trek
Day 5 : We depart early again, to climb to Tizi n'Ouannoms (3600m). Descending to the Nelter refuge where we camp at 3200m. A shorter day today, with a chance for a rest in the afternoon.
Day 6: We ascend Toubkal (4167m) by the North route . taking in great views of the Anti Atlas and the villages of Armd and Imlil on the way. Descending by the same route, We overnight in the village of Sidi Chamharouch. (2300m). It is possible to continue on to Imlil, to allow longer in Marrakech the next day. 9 hours trek
Day 7: In the morning we descend to the point where we started our trek, to meet the minibus and return to Marrakesh. Unless already in Imlil, then directly to Marrakech. A free day/ afternoon in Marrakesh and night in the hotel.
Day 8: Fly home.
